1975-Winter - Lanesville - New York Chris

It was winter 1975. Chris and I were living in Lanesville NY. Besides us and a few other hippies everyone in Lanesville had the last name Benjamin and cousins married cousins. We lived in a small house that used to be the servants quarter for the big haunted deserted mansion next door. We had no running water in the winter and would take a sled down a steep hill to the stream to fill up our plastic containers with water. The stream was frozen all winter and we had to chop through the ice to get water. We heated our cabin with a wood stove it was cozy and warm. The day these photos were taken Chris had just come back home after being on the road gigging with his band. It was snowing like crazy and we had all the time in the world for each other, no distractions no phone, computers or TV just us. It snowed for almost a week straight pure bliss. 2019 we are still together and have weathered many storms life is good.
